According to recent population projections, Central Washington’s population may increase by as much as 20% in the next decade. (Kittitas County alone has had a population increase of almost 17% in the previous decade). A growing population brings unique resource management challenges, both locally and globally. Soon we will reach a crossroads where we will all have to make informed ecological decisions.
